Polycarbonate - PC - is a thermoplastic organic polymer that is usually water-clear, has good optical properties and is heat and impact resistant. It is an excellent sound-proofing material, cold-bendable and flexible, but has a low hardness and therefore gets easily scratched. Coloured versions are also commercially available, and are manufactured with solid and hollow designs as well.
